Western Sydney Regional Youth Development Officer
Youth Action & Policy Association (YAPA) – Parramatta & Surry Hills
$52,050 - $54,336, plus super

YAPA is the NSW peak body working in the interests of young people and youth services in NSW. The organisation is seeking the services of an energetic, committed and experienced professional for the above position, reporting to the Executive Officer.
The Youth Development Officer will operate within a social justice framework to deliver advocacy, training, forums, resources and information for young people and youth services in Western Sydney.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the youth sector, able to work independently and ability to network with other agencies. Outstanding oral, written communication and organisational skills a must.

Volunteer work & student placements at YAPA
From time to time YAPA has opportunities for volunteers or students on placement. If you are interested, send us an email with details of:
- (for volunteer work) your skills, experience and interests, why you are interested in YAPA, and when you are available
- (for student placements) your course and where you are up to, your interests and why you are interested in YAPA, the placement hours, days of the week and start and finish dates.
Casual / temp work at YAPA
From time to time YAPA employs casuals or locum workers for a range of admin, policy and project positions. This work ranges from research, event management, report writing, consultation, and administration. YAPA is compiling a list of workers who are interested in undertaking this work. Future positions will then be filled from this list. To be eligible you must:
- Have a high level of initiative, independence and enthusiasm.
- Have proven relevant experience in the type of work you wish to complete.
You must fill in the expression of interest form. There is no deadline for this process, and you will not hear back from us unless we have work to offer you.
