Policy & Training Officer – Job share
Youth Action & Policy Association (YAPA) – Surry Hills
- 21 hours, Mon – Fri, flexible working environment
- SACS Grade 5, Above Award, $32,106 - $33,514, plus superannuation
- Location: Surry Hills
- Above award conditions include paid parental leave, 3 weeks sick leave.
YAPA is the peak organisation representing young people and youth services in NSW. The organisation seeks the services of an energetic, committed and experienced professional for the above position, reporting to the Chief Executive. The Policy & Training Officer will operate within a social justice framework conducting policy research, analysis and advice on youth issues as well as co-ordinating and organising training activities including conferences.
The successful applicant will possess youth sector knowledge, public policy development and work in a team environment. Training experience is desirable with outstanding oral, written communication and organisational skills a must.

- (for student placements) your course and where you are up to, your interests and why you are interested in YAPA, the placement hours, days of the week and start and finish dates.
Casual / temp work at YAPA
From time to time YAPA employs casuals or locum workers for a range of admin, policy and project positions. This work ranges from research, event management, report writing, consultation, and administration. YAPA is compiling a list of workers who are interested in undertaking this work. Future positions will then be filled from this list. To be eligible you must:
- Have a high level of initiative, independence and enthusiasm.
- Have proven relevant experience in the type of work you wish to complete.
