Statement of Attainment – Alcohol & Other Drugs

This course is for people who are working for, or have access to a community services organisation and who want to either upgrade and/or update their skills.

The course is also for pre-service learners who want to gain knowledge and skills relevant to the community services industry.

Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Work

This course is for people who work or want to work in the alcohol and other drugs field and related fields within the community services and health industry.

You will learn about interviewing; initial client assessment; and preventative, educational and other community strategies relevant to the alcohol and other drugs field.

Diploma – Alcohol & Other Drugs Work

This course is for people who work or want to work in the alcohol and other drugs field and related fields within the community services and health industry.

You will learn about interviewing and counselling; assessment and referral of clients; and preventative, educational and other community strategies relevant to the alcohol and other drugs field. You will also acquire skills in the provision of client services, planning and programming, networking, policy development and coordination of the work environment.

Other agencies may provide customised training for individual workplaces or interagencies on request. For example, your youth or community health centre may have an AOD speicialist who can assist.
