Reconnect is a community based early intervention service aimed at family reconciliation for young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and their families. YouthLinx (formerly the Youth Activities Services/Family Liaison Worker (YAS/FLW) Program) supports young people, aged 11 to 16 years, and their families through early intervention. The overall aim is to help young people and their families build self reliance, strengthen their family relationships and encourage their community involvement. JPET: The Job Placement, Employment and Training (JPET) program is aimed at assisting students and unemployed young people aged 15-21 years (with priority to be given to those aged 15 to 19), who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Connections: (formerly Partnership Outreach Education Model (POEM)) provides an education and personal development program for young people 13 to 19 years, who have been disconnected from mainstream schooling for more than 3 months. Connections delivers accredited education, life skills and employability skills training in supported community settings. At the same time, young people are provided with help and support to deal with personal issues and build self-esteem and resilience. Links to Learning projects assist young people aged 12 to 24 years who have left school early or who are students at risk of leaving school early, and provides them with a range of opportunities to remain in or re-enter mainstream education and training.
